Hello Reader, The American Lamb Board (ALB) just announced their fall Solar Grazing Training Workshop for Pennsylvania! The workshop is an ASGA Certified Solar Grazing Training. All graduates will be officially certified by ASGA. Fall Workshop Details:
To learn more about the ASGA Certification for Solar Grazing Training Program and find other sessions, visit our website: https://solargrazing.org/asga-certification/ From ALB's announcement:The rapid expansion of utility-scale solar farms and the need for effective vegetation management have created a growing demand for sheep grazing as a natural solution. Sheep grazing is increasingly being used in solar farms, wildfire-prone areas, and vineyards. By eliminating dry vegetation that could fuel wildfires and helping control weeds without herbicides, grazing also supports environmental sustainability. These paid grazing contracts offer a significant growth opportunity for the U.S. sheep industry. Expanding flocks to meet this demand could increase the supply of American Lamb, make it more price competitive, and contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions through both renewable energy and biological vegetation management. This trend benefits both established and emerging sheep producers by boosting profitability and encouraging flock expansion. The workshop will provide valuable training to help ensure participants can capitalize on grazing contract opportunities and grow their operations profitably.

Hello Reader, The ASGA Team attended this year's RE+ renewable energy conference and made a big splash with a live sheep display and the world premiere of our solar grazing documentary film! With 45,000 people attending this year's conference, we wanted to make sure folks had a chance to see and understand the benefits of building strong partnerships with solar graziers. To open the show on Monday, we premiered the first ever solar grazing documentary to a packed audience and everyone loved...
Hello Reader, ASGA is bringing the sheep to this year's RE+ solar industry convention! We'll be premiering the first ever solar grazing short documentary at the event and bringing our farmers' stories to the heart of the solar industry. If you're attending, please register to attend the premiere (it's free!). If you've already registered (go you!), then please share the link with your friends and colleagues. The first 100 guests to arrive will receive a special gift:...
Hello Reader, How can solar companies best plan vegetation and soil management to be good stewards of the land and support agrivoltaics? This topic is important for the present and future of solar development. Getting it wrong can impact soil & water and create local community issues, among others. Join us for this month’s ASGA call with Rob Schultz from Invenergy’s Vegetation Management team. Rob will discuss how they develop their vegetation and soil management plans and set up a project...
